Working on renovating a nearly hundred year old building has been a fun journey. Along the way, as we’ve demolished old walls, cleared crawl space, and dug in the floor and surrounding property, we’ve discovered a number of fun reminders of the past. So far, that includes old soda cans, tools from the original project, newspapers used to stuff some of the old cement blocks during repairs, and even several rat mummies!
Since we were digging and pouring new concrete, we thought we’d leave a memento for the next time someone restores the building 100 years hence?! Secretly located somewhere in the floor is a reminder of Two Ass Brewing Company as of 2023 including a copy of one of our recipes that has (so far!) won the most awards. As for the significance of the other contents, that will be for future historians to puzzle out.
